IPL (Intense Pulse Light) skin correction is a cosmetic procedure used for various skin concerns, such as pigmentation, sun damage, acne, vascular and hair removal. It uses broad-spectrum light to target specific skin issues without damaging the surrounding tissue.
Benefits of IPL Skin Treatment
IPL treatments offer a wide range of benefits for improving skin health and appearance. Here’s why people love it:
Reduces Pigmentation & Dark Spots
Minimizes Acne & Acne Scars
Removes Unwanted Hair
IPL works best for people with light to medium skin tones dealing with pigmentation, redness, or mild aging signs. However, it may not be ideal for very dark skin tones due to the way it targets melanin.
IPL Vascular treatment is a non ablative procedure that uses intense pulse light to target hemoglobin in the skin, heating and damaging unwanted vessels. Damaged vessels are removed via the lymphatic system, resulting in a more even skin tone. Typically this treatment is used to spot and treat vascular lesions of the face and upper body to achieve an effective result.
Skin must be prepped and skin barrier healthy.
2 to 4 treatments once every 4 weeks for optimal results.
Maintenance: every 3 to 6 months as needed.
IPL Pigmentation treatment is a non ablative procedure that uses intense pulse light to target melanin in the skin, heating and shattering the brown pigment. Damaged melanin is then removed either via the lymphatic system or micro crusts on the surface of the skin and naturally sloughs off, resulting in a more even skin tone. Typically this treatment is used to spot treat areas of pigmentation.
Skin must be prepped and skin barrier healthy.
2 to 4 treatments once every 4 weeks for optimal results on the face or every 2 months for the body.
Maintenance: every 6 to 12 months.
IPL Photorejuvenation is a non ablative procedure that uses intense pulse light to target water in the skin, heating the water to trigger a wound healing response. This process stimulates collagen and elastin production along with several of the skin's self rejuvenating mechanism to improve the signs of ageing and improve skin texture and tone.
Skin must be prepped and skin barrier healthy.
4 to 6 treatments every 4 weeks for optimal results.
Maintenance: every 3 to 6 months, as needed.
IPL Acne treatment is a non ablative procedure that uses intense pulse light to target C. acnesbacteriain in the skin. C. acnes bacteria live in oxygen free environment and produce endogenic porphyrins. When these porphyrins absorb blue light, free radical damage and oxygen is produced. This process destroys the bacteria and reduces associated inflammation, assisting with the resolution of acne lesions.
Skin must be prepped and skin barrier healthy.
2 treatments per week for 2 to 4 weeks for optimal results.
Maintenance: weekly to monthly as required.

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) is a non-invasive treatment that uses light energy to target skin imperfections such as sun damage, hyperpigmentation, redness, and fine lines.
The IPL device emits pulses of light that penetrate the skin and target melanin (pigment) or hemoglobin (blood vessels), breaking them down and allowing the body to remove them naturally.
Yes, IPL is a safe procedure when performed by a trained professional. However, improper use can lead to burns, scarring, or pigmentation changes.
Most patients describe the sensation as a mild snapping or rubber band-like feeling. Some discomfort is normal, but it is generally well-tolerated.
Typically, 3-5 sessions spaced about 3-4 weeks apart are recommended for best results, depending on the skin concern.
Results can last for months or even years with proper skincare and sun protection. Periodic maintenance treatments may be needed.
IPL works best on fair to medium skin tones. Darker skin tones may have a higher risk of pigmentation changes.
